Rick’s success earned him Oracle’s CIO of the Year 2016 to 2017 for helping Pella emerge stronger during a challenging company phase: Powering the story of how a smaller corporation, in a highly competitive space and during a volatile market—became a profit-generating engine, gaining competitive differentiation among its’ competition.
As a mentor and advocate Rick engaged with his local school district to introduce classes focused on technology and the philosophies of lean and problem-solving, enabling students to complete projects changing the layout of their lunchroom improving throughput, revamping the announcement process removing 90% of the steps, and streamlining the AP process eliminating 40% of the process time.
